IGT PlaySports has confirmed a three-year extension of its partnership with Boyd Gaming, securing its role as the technology provider behind Boyd’s retail and mobile sportsbooks in Nevada. The agreement ensures IGT will continue powering betting operations across the state until at least 2028.

IGT Tech Remains at the Core of Boyd’s Sportsbook Offering

Originally launched in 2018, the collaboration between IGT and Boyd now spans retail sportsbook locations in nine U.S. states. In Nevada specifically, the renewed deal allows Boyd to keep operating IGT PlaySports self-service kiosks at 10 betting venues. Boyd Gaming’s VP of Race & Sports Operations, Bob Scucci, highlighted the platform’s flexibility and ability to support business growth as key reasons behind the renewal.

Context: Broader Tech and Market Moves

This extension follows Boyd Gaming’s recent announcement to roll out Agilysys InfoGenesis POS across 28 properties. Financially, the company also reported Q1 revenue of $991.6 million — a 3.2% increase year-on-year. On IGT’s side, the supplier continues to grow its Nevada footprint, having also renewed its deal with Golden Nugget in February. Globally, IGT secured major licenses in Italy and the UAE in May.

The updated agreement reinforces both companies’ focus on long-term presence in the highly competitive Nevada sports betting market.
