Drake publicly called out crypto gambling platform Stake, saying he tried to withdraw funds four times in a row but each request was denied with no explanation. He posted a screenshot of a customer-service exchange to Instagram and captioned it: “4 withdrawal attempts blocked on @stake with no explanation… Is it personal?” Multiple outlets captured the now-viral story post.

The accusation follows months of highly visible betting by the artist on Stake. Complex and other music publications amplified Drake’s complaint, noting the “Is it personal?” jab. As of publication, Stake had not issued a formal response to the claim.

Drake’s Kick channel disappears after Ed Craven feud

The situation escalated after Drake criticized Ed Craven — co-founder of Stake and the Kick streaming platform — during a recent livestream, accusing leadership of mistreating talent. Within days, fans noticed Drake’s Kick page was no longer accessible, prompting speculation about whether the account was deleted by Drake or removed by the platform.

Industry and gaming trades dated the disappearance to around August 21–22, 2025, with iGaming outlets reporting Drake had effectively quit Kick following the dispute. Streamer Adin Ross’ reaction clips helped fuel the timeline. Kick has not publicly clarified the status of the account.

A nine-figure partnership in the balance

Drake’s complaint comes against the backdrop of a lucrative partnership: the Financial Times reported in March 2023 that he signed a deal worth about $100 million per year to endorse Stake. Separate entertainment outlets — citing DJ Akademiks — have claimed the total value could run as high as $180 million, though those figures have not been independently confirmed by FT.

Despite the rift, Stake still appeared in Drake’s Instagram bio at press time, underscoring how intertwined the branding remains even as tensions play out in public. Meanwhile, coverage of his post noted there has been no detailed public explanation from Stake about the blocked withdrawals.
