Brazilian law enforcement has arrested the alleged administrator of Brabet, an offshore iGaming platform that ranked #21 by traffic volume in Brazil this month, according to iGaming analytics service Blask.com.

The Raid: Luxury Lifestyle Behind Closed Doors

Luxury apartments. A vast wine cellar. Imported vehicles. Watches worth millions of Brazilian reais.

What looked like a flawless entrepreneurial success story on social media came crashing down when police broke down the door. Officers conducted a large-scale raid on the residence of Albert César Janjão, the suspected administrator of the Brabet betting platform, uncovering what authorities describe as a multi-million criminal network built entirely on false promises and user exploitation.

How the Scheme Worked

The operation relied heavily on major digital influencers — some with audiences exceeding 3 million followers — to funnel ordinary users toward illegal gambling sites. These content creators promoted narratives of “easy money” to their communities, draining the savings of trusting fans while funding the organizers’ lavish lifestyles.

The police commissioner’s statement during the raid sent a sharp message to the digital market:

“They are not entrepreneurs. They call themselves entertainment entrepreneurs. No — they are criminals.”

He dismissed the myth of getting rich through these platforms outright, warning that anyone who tries will simply become “another sucker.”

The Scale of Unexplained Wealth

Investigators noted that the suspect maintained an extraordinarily high standard of living with no credible, legitimate source of income. According to authorities, the accumulated millions came exclusively from the financial devastation of ordinary platform users.

The defense has argued that the suspect operated lawfully and that the arrest was a disproportionate measure — but the sheer scale of unexplained assets tells a story that’s increasingly difficult to dismiss.
