The Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA) has set 15 October 2025 as the moment the legacy sub licensing model is switched off for good. Once the cutoff arrives, any website still showing the Orange Digital Seal will be operating outside Curacao’s rules and will need to swap the badge for the Green Digital Seal tied to a direct licence.
This shift completes Curacao’s migration to a single tier of direct oversight. The green seal is issued only after a licence is granted and the initial invoice is paid, turning the seal from a transitional marker into a verified indicator of regulatory status.
Application Outcomes and Green Seal Activation
Former sublicensees have already been funneled through the new pipeline, with applications marked as granted, approved pending payment, or rejected. Those holding an approved status must settle the initial invoice so the approval converts into a granted licence and the green seal becomes available for use.
Once granted, the regulator associates each domain with a token that renders the correct dynamic seal. Displaying the green seal signals that the operator has passed the new licensing threshold rather than temporarily operating under historic sub licensing arrangements.
Required Actions for Operators
Operators still showing an Orange Digital Seal need to log into the regulator’s portal and change the domain status from “under sub license” to “under application.” Making this update unlocks the green seal token so the orange badge can be removed and replaced across all sites before the deadline.
The Authority urges companies to complete the switch well ahead of 15 October 2025 to avoid any lapse in compliance. Alongside the status change, operators should finalize payment of the initial invoice and implement the dynamic seal exactly as specified, ensuring the trustmark reflects their current, directly licensed position.
