ToonieBet has expanded its presence in Canadian sports betting after signing a new partnership with the Ottawa REDBLACKS of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Under the agreement announced on August 26, 2026, ToonieBet will become the team’s exclusive sportsbook partner, with the deal covering stadium branding, digital integrations and fan-focused activations at TD Place.

The partnership represents another step in ToonieBet’s broader strategy of establishing its brand within Canada’s professional sports ecosystem.

ToonieBet Branding to Appear on REDBLACKS Jerseys

As part of the agreement, the ToonieBet logo will appear on all three REDBLACKS player jerseys.

The sportsbook will also receive prominent exposure at TD Place through television and LED signage, while the brand will be integrated into the team’s social media channels.

In addition, ToonieBet will become the official sponsor of the Sideline Club, a field-level seating area located close to the action at the REDBLACKS’ home stadium.

The commercial arrangement is designed to give ToonieBet visibility both during games and through the team’s broader digital and fan engagement activities.

Three Pregame Street Parties Planned in Ottawa

The partnership will extend beyond conventional stadium advertising.

ToonieBet and the REDBLACKS plan to organize three pregame street parties on Exhibition Way for Ottawa fans on game days. The events will include live DJ performances, games and giveaways.

The REDBLACKS have also confirmed that ToonieBet is supporting enhanced game-day experiences for fans throughout the 2026 season. The team’s official partnership materials describe the street parties as part of a wider program of activations before Saturday home games.

The first major activation was scheduled around the REDBLACKS’ August 30 home game at TD Place.

ToonieBet Continues Expansion Across the CFL

The Ottawa agreement is not ToonieBet’s first major partnership in Canadian football.

In July 2025, ToonieBet became an Official Sports Betting Partner and Official Online Casino Partner of the CFL, as well as an Official Partner of the Grey Cup. The agreement also made the brand an Official Authorized Gaming Operator of the league.

ToonieBet subsequently expanded its relationships with individual CFL teams. In June 2026, the operator announced a multi-year agreement with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, becoming the team’s Exclusive and Official iGaming Partner and securing naming rights for the club level at Tim Hortons Field.

The REDBLACKS deal therefore adds another major Canadian football property to ToonieBet’s growing sponsorship portfolio.

ToonieBet Focuses on the Ontario Market

ToonieBet operates as an online sportsbook and casino for players in Ontario. According to the company’s announcement, its platform is operated by Canadix Limited and regulated by iGaming Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

The operator’s expansion through sports partnerships is part of a broader localization strategy. Canadian Gaming Business reported that ToonieBet is operated by Soft2Bet, which has been adding brands and sports partnerships within Ontario’s regulated iGaming market.

ToonieBet has also been positioning itself around Canadian sports properties rather than relying solely on conventional sportsbook marketing.

REDBLACKS Partnership Adds Local Visibility

For the Ottawa REDBLACKS, the agreement provides a new commercial partner with a significant presence across the team’s match-day environment.

The REDBLACKS compete in the East Division of the CFL and won the Grey Cup in 2016. The team plays its home games at TD Place in Ottawa.

Matthew Bennett, the club’s Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, said the partnership would focus on enhancing the fan experience through the Sideline Club and pregame activations.

ToonieBet’s Head of Canada, Daniel Madmon, described the deal as an important milestone in the company’s expansion across the country.

What the Partnership Means for ToonieBet

The REDBLACKS agreement gives ToonieBet another high-profile platform for reaching Canadian sports fans while strengthening its position within the CFL ecosystem.

With existing relationships at league level and with teams including the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Ottawa partnership adds another local market activation to the operator’s Canadian strategy.

The deal also illustrates the growing role of regulated sportsbooks in professional sports sponsorships in Ontario, where operators increasingly use team partnerships, stadium branding and fan experiences to build recognition alongside their digital products.
