Trump Media debuts “Truth Predict”, bringing markets-on-events to Truth Social
Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), the parent of Truth Social, unveiled plans for “Truth Predict”, a native feature that lets users trade on real-world outcomes directly inside the app. From day one, the initiative is framed as a head-to-head challenge to prediction-market leaders Polymarket and Kalshi, aiming to keep forecasters, news hounds, and traders within the Truth Social ecosystem rather than sending them to standalone platforms.
In its announcement, TMTG says Truth Predict will surface live odds and market pricing around politics, macroeconomics, sports, and entertainment blending conversation with speculation. The company indicates an initial beta is on the roadmap followed by a phased rollout in the U.S., with compliance and settlement handled through an exchange partner as the product scales.
A play to take on Polymarket and Kalshi
By entering the forecasting space, TMTG is targeting the same rapidly growing sector that Polymarket and Kalshi currently dominate. Both rivals have drawn attention by allowing users to bet or “forecast” on outcomes ranging from elections to inflation data. Truth Predict’s similar model signals an ambitious effort to capture that same audience, offering political and economic enthusiasts a homegrown alternative integrated directly into Truth Social.
This launch comes amid booming interest in prediction markets, which have evolved from crypto experiments into mainstream tools for crowd-based forecasting. TMTG aims to capitalize on that momentum, positioning its new feature as a fusion of free expression, social engagement, and financial speculation all within a single platform.
What “Truth Predict” could include and what to watch
The upcoming feature is expected to include markets on U.S. elections, Federal Reserve decisions, entertainment awards, and major sports outcomes. In its announcement, TMTG hinted that Truth Predict is part of a broader expansion strategy that also includes future products like Truth+ streaming and Truth.Fi fintech services. The company says it wants to turn Truth Social into a “complete digital ecosystem” for communication, finance, and information.
Still, key questions remain: How will regulators respond to a politically connected social network hosting prediction markets at scale, especially around election-related contracts? And can Truth Predict attract the liquidity and trust needed to rival Polymarket’s crypto-native community and Kalshi’s regulated infrastructure? The answers to those questions will determine whether Trump’s latest venture becomes a genuine disruptor or just another speculative experiment in the fast-moving world of prediction markets.
